In making this decision, HIF was conscious that many of our members have been feeling the impact of the current cost of living crisis. As a Not-For-Profit health fund, we did all we could to keep the increase as low as possible.

Unlike many Australian health insurers, we do not have shareholders. Moreover, cash dividends are not paid directly to our fund members.
Instead, we return any surpluses to our members in the form of lower premiums, increased rebates and new benefits and services. This is our way of rewarding our loyal members.
Our priority is to look after the health and wellbeing of our members, not to maximise profits.
October 2024 marked 70 years of helping our members in WA live healthier lives. One thing hasn’t changed, our dedication to putting our members’ interest first.
Without our +48,000 members, HIF wouldn’t still be around today.
