We’re aware of the cyber-attack at Optus.

HIF has not been impacted but we would like to reassure members we are actively monitoring the situation. Cyber-attacks of this nature serve as a reminder to us all to remain vigilant.

We encourage all our members to access the below reputable resources that outline additional steps you can take to limit the risk of fraud.

How HIF is protecting your data

At HIF we value the privacy and security of our members’ data. To help ensure it remains secure, we use a number of tools to monitor the performance of our external cyber security posture.

One such solution, UpGuard monitors the performance of website security, network security, brand and reputation risk, email security, and phishing and malware. UpGuard monitors these factors daily and provides a comparison against other Australian health insurance providers.
