HIF (Health Insurance Fund of Australia) has released its 2025-26 Annual Report, marking a year of renewed growth, strong member satisfaction and a clear strategic direction for the future.
The Fund grew to more than 50,000 policies during the year while maintaining a member satisfaction score of 95 per cent. It also welcomed new leadership, with Paul Hersey becoming Chairperson and Greg Morris appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Hersey said HIF's performance reflected years of disciplined investment and strategic focus.
"A fund that is growing and well regarded by its policyholders indicates we are a fund with a strong future. We are entering the next phase of our development with a clear strategy, a strong capital position and a continued focus on delivering value for our members," he said.
Mr Morris said the Fund's recently endorsed FY27-29 Strategic Plan would guide HIF's next phase of growth and investment.
"FY26 was a year of renewed momentum for HIF. We returned to policyholder growth, strengthened our financial position and continued to invest in products, services and partnerships that make a tangible difference to our members' lives.
"Participation in private health insurance follows value. That is why we will continue to invest in better products, stronger partnerships and improved experiences that support members at every stage of life," Mr Morris said.
During the financial year, HIF processed more than 500,000 claims and paid more than $155 million in benefits to members.
