Can benefits for natural therapies that have been removed from April 1 2019 still be paid if they’re provided by a health professional whose core business is not the provision of those services?For example, Pilates services provided by a physiotherapist or kinesiology services provided by a chiropractor.From 1 April 2019, government legislation has been amended so that health funds cannot pay a benefit towards some natural therapies. A rebate will no longer be paid on Pilates provided by a Pilates studio or instructor.
