The Australian Government Rebate on Private Health Insurance was introduced to help Australians meet their health cover costs. If you currently hold a Medicare card, then you can claim your rebate entitlement as a reduced premium on your private Hospital and/or Extras cover. The amount you're entitled to receive is determined by your age and annual income. You can also choose to pay full contributions through the year and then claim the rebate back at the end of the financial year through your tax return.
To apply for the Australian Government Rebate on Private Health Insurance on your HIF policy, please download the Australian Government Rebate on Private Health Insurance form, complete this and return to us at rebate@hif.com.au.
