What does a Restricted Service mean?

Restricted Services are hospital services which are only covered for payments at the basic benefit level. This means that benefits for the restricted services under a particular level of cover will include basic public hospital rate (only) for accommodation and therefore significant out-of-pocket expenses may apply for these procedures if you are admitted as an inpatient for the specified treatment.

For more information on restricted services please visit our Hospital Cover Comparison Table webpage.
